David S. Maurer, PMP

Dave Maurer is a Vice President with Axiom Resource Management, Inc., a professional consulting firm providing program management, operational support, accessibility, management training, distance learning, and IT solutions. Their offices are headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia.  His principal clients include the office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Health Affairs and the Department of Health and Human Services’ U.S. Public Health Service. 

Dave served in the U.S. Army for nearly 22 years, retiring in 1999 as a lieutenant colonel.  He has served in numerous staff and command assignments, most notably as the Deputy Adjutant General for the U.S. Army in Southern Europe, Executive Assistant to the Director for Manpower and Personnel, Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as the 72nd Adjutant General at the United States Military Academy at West Point. In the private sector, Dave leads dozens of staff members in Axiom across a broad array of projects valued at several million dollars.  Dave is currently a Board Member of the Washington D.C. Chapter of the Project Management Institute, serving as the VP for Programs. He also serves on the Board of Advisors to the George Washington Chapter of the Association of the United States Army and is a former Director of the USO of Metropolitan New York City. During his 30 years in professional life, he has delivered countless lectures and presentations on the topics of project management, negotiation skills, organizational effectiveness, and leadership to audiences including the CIA, the FBI, the US Army, the US Marine Corps, the US Air Force, the World Bank, the University of Maryland MBA program, the faculty of the Behavioral Sciences and Leadership Department at West Point and numerous civic and non-profit organizations.
